Richardson Symphony League

The Richardson Symphony League established the Richardson Symphony League Debutante program in 1966. The purpose of the program is to promote and contribute to the Richardson Symphony Orchestra and to stimulate in young women an interest in music, the arts, and community service. The RSL Debutante season is a year filled with exciting events, including social and service activities, fundraisers, general meetings, and the opportunity to become friends with young women from other area high schools.

Service activities are an integral part of the RSL Debutante program. Through participating in service projects the Debs are provided an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills. Debs contribute to the success of the Richardson Symphony's concerts and competitions. They take the arts into Richardson through participation in Santa's Village and other outreach opportunities in the community throughout the year.

Membership is open to girls in grades nine through twelve whose sponsor is a Richardson Symphony League member in good standing. Girls must complete the required service hours in order to be presented and are required to pay a presentation fee.
